Day 4: Monday March 7th

We got up early and after delicious homemade muffins and coffee we drove an hour and a half to Acadia National Park. It was raining, but we still hiked down to Sand Beach, where the waves were crashing and freezing on the sand. Then we hiked to the tip of a peninsula that directly looked over the Atlantic ocean. It was so beautiful! We changed into dry clothes and I took my turn driving and drove from Acadia to Portland, Maine. Portland is such a cool city. Our hotel is in the heart of downtown, complete with cobblestone streets and boutiques lining the sidewalks. We enjoyed the spa amenities including a Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna! Then we headed out to dinner with another BC Student, Amy Allen, who lives in Portland. She took us to Flatbreads where we ate a disgusting amount of food after living off of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for three days! Amy is a talented musician who plays all over Portland and Boston College; she has an Album on iTunes that everyone should check out. We're going to relax in the room for the rest of the night and get ready for a day walking around Portland tomorrow!
